  • Music

Worshipping the Lord is central to our music program! Students at Redeemer attend Music class once a week, and each class is designed for the development of auditory perceptual skills that are appropriate for the child’s age level. This is accomplished through exposure to classical and praise/worship songs, rhythm, and rhyming patterns. Also, students are exposed to various genres of musical instruments, and they learn to identify the sounds of those instruments (strings, horns, woodwinds, percussion, and keyboard). All music lessons are culminated during our annual Christmas Recital and Musical Morning in May!

  • P.E.

Physical Education is a key component to a preschooler’s development! God has given us our earthly bodies, and we desire to teach our students the importance of honoring Him through our movements, exercise, and sportsmanship! In addition to daily playground time, each class attends P.E. once a week. This is a time for gross and fine motor skill development, building physical strength, and participating in group games. Skills for lifelong physical activity are taught at the appropriate age level: balancing, running, jumping, dribbling, and throwing a ball.

  • Spanish

Pre-K and Kindergarten students receive Spanish instruction one time per week. Exposure to this widely spoken language enhances a child’s understanding of God’s great plan for the spoken word. Color words, praise words, and various themes are explored through the lens of the Spanish language. Parents receive a weekly newsletter covering the weekly themes, and students showcase their knowledge during our annual Spring Spanish Program!
