Children's Books about Faith - Bibles, Devotionals and Faith Stories
RECOMMENDED READING FOR CHILDREN
Daily reading to children is encouraged and brings a world of imagination and wonder to life! Our teachers and staff have years of reading to little ones and have favorite books – ones that they love and ones that their children, grandchildren and students have loved. Below is a list of the some of their favorite books.
If you do not currently have one of these books and would like to buy it for your child, we encourage you to purchase it through our website (by clicking on the book title) as a part of Redeemer Day School’s Amazon Affiliate Program. When books are purchased through our web site as a part of this program, the school receives a portion of the purchase back, which is used by Redeemer Day School to purchase school supplies and related needs. Happy reading!
Books for Teaching Children about the Lord
- The Beginner’s Bible, Timeless Children’s Stories, Zonderkidz – We use this children’s Bible in the Busy Bees Class
- The Jesus Story Book Bible, Every Story Whispers His Name, by Sally Lloyd-Jones – Comes in a set with a CD so they can listen and follow on their own as well as reading it with you. We use this children’s Bible in the Butterfly Class, but it is great for older children, too.
- The Big Picture Bible, David R. Helm – We use this Bible in the Butterfly Class to give an overview of God’s plan for us through the Old and New Testament, but it is great for older children, too.
- Leading Little Ones to God, Marian M. Schoolland – We use this wonderful resource to ground our students in Pre-k and Kindergarten sound doctrine along with teaching them directly from the Bible.
